Our chairman, Glen Hall, was concerned about families going hungry and set up a food parcel scheme to help those most in need.
Talent Insight Group supports the RGS bursary scheme which allows students to have access to education opportunities that may not otherwise be open to them. These families were facing a challenging time with the UK lockdown and we stepped in to help.
The team at Talent Insight Group provided 23 families with food parcels and vouchers throughout the lockdown which also helped small independent food providers who were closed due to lockdown. The parcels were distributed by the school and another RGS parent who provided a van and driver.
Glen said, “Talent Insight Group’s values are to care for each other and our community. Hearing about those families most in need made the whole team want to give something back and make a real difference. Just as important, we wanted to make our children’s friends feel they had not been forgotten.
“For the company that was key, to make sure during the pandemic the families knew we cared about them and hopefully they now know they were never alone in this.”
The scheme is supported entirely by voluntary donations and has helped almost 400 students since its launch in 2002. There are currently 76 RGS students who benefit from bursary funding, the vast majority on a 100% bursary to support those in greatest need. Read more about the campaign here.
This activity is just one of the ways we work to make a difference in the community. It’s at the heart of our values and our business.
